In the later part of this book, chapter seven, a lot happens. The plot begins to tumble towards the resolution of the story and Billy is seeing the end of his life much more. Billy gets on a plane to go to Montreal with other optometrists. During their flight the plane crashes into a mountain. Miraculously, Billy is the only passenger on the plane to survive. A flashback occurs next, and Billy is back in Dresden eating syrup with Edgar Darby but he had to "hid[e] the sticky spoon. Somebody was coming" (Vonnegut 205) and he could've gotten into trouble.
